Your logo, on every vest
Everything you need to know about custom hi-vis vests
Custom hi-vis vests are high-visibility safety vests decorated with your logo, company name or crew identifier. They do the same job as any high-visibility vest — keeping workers seen in traffic, on job sites, and in low light — but they also identify your team at a glance, look professional to clients, and quietly advertise your brand on every shift. Contractors, road crews, warehouse and logistics operations, utilities, event organizers and security firms all buy them by the case to outfit staff in gear that is both compliant and unmistakably theirs.
Because they are made to order, the right vest depends on where your crew works and what they are exposed to. This guide walks through the ANSI/ISEA 107 visibility classes and what each one requires, the fabric and closure options that affect comfort and durability, how to place a logo with screen print, heat transfer or embroidery, the color choices available, and how bulk pricing works. If you already know what you need, you can request a custom quote at any point.
A branded vest works twice — safety gear and identity
Plain safety vests keep people visible, but they say nothing about who they are. A custom hi-vis vest printed or embroidered with your logo does the same compliance job while turning your crew into a recognizable, professional team on site. Whether staff are flagging traffic, picking orders in a warehouse, or marshaling a festival, branded vests make your operation look organized and help clients, visitors and the public tell your people apart from everyone else on the job.
Brand & crew ID
Every vest carries your logo, company name or department, so staff, subcontractors and the public can identify your team instantly.

Hi-vis vest classes: which one does your crew need?
High-visibility apparel in the U.S. is graded by the ANSI/ISEA 107 standard, which sets minimum amounts of fluorescent background fabric and retroreflective tape for each class. Higher classes require more of both material, giving workers greater conspicuity in faster traffic and poorer conditions. Here is how the classes compare.
Minimum background fabric by class
Minimum fluorescent background material for a garment, per ANSI/ISEA 107. Class 1 applies to off-road (Type O) use only.
Minimum reflective tape by class
Minimum retroreflective material at standard tape width. More tape means better visibility when headlights hit the vest at night.
| Class | Type | Best for | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class 1 | Type O (off-road) | Low-speed, controlled sites away from public traffic | Parking, warehouse yards, delivery |
| Class 2 Popular | Type R (roadway) | Traffic near 25 mph and busy work zones | Road crews, survey, utilities, events |
| Class 3 | Type R / P | High-speed traffic and low-visibility conditions | Highways, night work, emergency response |
Not sure which class your worksite requires? Tell us the setting and we’ll recommend a spec with your quote. Always confirm requirements against your site’s safety policy or a qualified safety professional.
Built for long shifts and a sharp-looking logo
Our custom vests are made from durable polyester in two main constructions: breathable mesh, which keeps crews cooler on hot outdoor shifts, and solid tricot, which is warmer, more rugged and gives a cleaner surface for large printed or embroidered logos. Fluorescent background colors are chosen to meet the visibility class you order, and the retroreflective tape is designed to bounce vehicle headlights back toward drivers at night.
Closures and pockets are matched to how your crew actually works. Hook-and-loop front closures are quick on and off; zipper fronts stay secure through the day; and breakaway styles are built to release under force for workers near moving equipment. Add chest, radio and ID pockets, and choose a fabric weight that suits your climate. Your logo is decorated to resist washing, sun and daily wear so the vests still look professional deep into their service life.
- Durable polyester — mesh for airflow or solid for warmth and print area
- ANSI-graded fluorescent fabric — lime-yellow, orange or red backgrounds
- Retroreflective tape — silver banding for nighttime conspicuity
- Closure options — hook-and-loop, zipper or breakaway front
- Pocket configurations — chest, radio, ID and tablet pockets
- Wash-durable decoration — logos that resist fading and wear
Make the vest unmistakably yours

Hi-vis vest colors and what they signal
Fluorescent lime-yellow and fluorescent orange are the workhorse background colors for ANSI-rated vests, but custom vests come in a wider palette for identifying teams, coding roles and matching brand colors. Common conventions:
Only fluorescent lime, orange and red backgrounds carry an ANSI/ISEA 107 rating. Blue, green, purple, pink and black-bottom vests are identity styles and are not ANSI-compliant on their own. We can match your Pantone brand colors on the printed or embroidered logo.
How to choose the right custom hi-vis vest
The best vest comes down to where your crew works and what they are exposed to. Use this quick guide to match the environment to a recommended class, fabric and decoration.
| Where you’ll use them | Recommended class | Fabric | Decoration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warehouse & indoor logistics | Class 2 (or Class 1 off-road) | Mesh | Left chest + back name |
| Road & highway crews | Class 2–3 | Solid or mesh | Company logo, front & back |
| Utility & energy field work | Class 2–3 | Solid | Embroidered logo |
| Event staff & marshals | Class 2 | Mesh | Large back “STAFF” + logo |
| Security & traffic control | Class 2–3 | Solid | Back “SECURITY” print |
| Night work & high-speed traffic | Class 3 | Solid | Logo + max reflective tape |

How custom vest pricing works
Custom hi-vis vests are priced per unit, and the per-vest price drops as your quantity climbs. Your final quote depends on four things: vest class and style, decoration method, number of print locations or stitch count, and total quantity. Larger runs and simpler artwork bring the unit cost down the most.
